There are several things on this robe that I think are special.  The Peony flower in the center of the sleeve band done in forbidden stitch and the lining of the interior of the sleeve in green come to mind.  I would think that lining would say something about the taste level of the wearer of the robe.  The color is going to peek out and will be seen.
The embroidery is done in delicate flowers and birds on a sturdy black silk.
It's in excellent condition with the exception of the black silk ribbon that outlines the trims.  This ribbon is deteriorating.  If this ribbon were replaced throughout this robe would be restored to its former glory.  It appears as if someone replaced the brass ball closures as they're quite bright and shiny.
Lined in light blue silk with slight staining.  Sleeve interior lined in green silk.
Please note that some of the colors look washed out in the embroideries in the photos of the entire robe.  The colors are still bright and can be seen better in the close ups.  I took pictures outdoors on a sunny day.

27 inches from underarm to underarm.  51 inches from sleeve end to sleeve end and    From shoulder seam to hem is 35 inches.
