Antique Chinese Fuchsia Silk Damask Peony Embroidered Apron Wrap Skirt
This antique Chinese fuchsia silk damask peony embroidered apron wrap skirt dates from the 1920s. It is made of a pinkish purple fuchsia color silk damask weave fabric with a woven peony floral pattern design and colorful pastel raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work flowers. The peony is a symbol of love and affection and is representative of good luck. This pretty purple peony bridal wedding wrap skirt apron has a wrap around style with a white cotton wide waistband, black silk knotted macrame fringe and trim edging, with no closures and is partially lined in a blue silk fabric. The skirt measures 37 inches long and 46 inches wide waistband. It is in good as-is condition, with a few faint small stains scattered, some loose black fringe trim in areas and a few tiny holes (see close-ups). Great for upcycling! This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Chinese wearable art!
